Students led conference activities

Dear parents, I am so pleased to welcome you for the students led conference on Wednesday 5 April. 

1. What is a student-led conferences?
It’s an opportunity for children to share preselected learning experiences from various subject areas with their parents.

2. The purpose of the student-led conference is to:
- Promote home and school partnership
- Increase students’ responsibility for their learning and promote reflection
- Demonstrate the PYP learner profile and attitudes
- Inform parents about what and how their child is learning
- Show progress made
- Encourage two-way interaction 

3. Four Activities
Four areas have been prepared in the room. Each area will help your students to show his/her progress in:

1. Speaking
a) "Le tableau rouge": Describe the people that you want (speak about their physical appearance, their feeling, their clothes, their preferences...)








2. Writing
a) "Vocabulaire": Write 5 adjectives to describe people.
b) "La phrase négative": Create negative sentences by using the pictures.
c) La description d'1 personne: Choose a picture that inspire you and write on the white board a few sentences to describe him/her.
3. Reading
    a) "Les syllabes": Listen to these syllables and identify the incorrect ones. Click here

b) "Les chiffres" Create the jigsaw puzzle and read the numbers.
    c) "La description des 3 personnes": Match the people description with their picture.
    d) "La description d'1 personne": Read the text and answer the questions.


4. Understanding: 
Each task includes a recording or a video.  
      a) "Les adjectifs énergiques": Listen to the recording and slap the board. Click here.
      b) "Marc Porte": Dress up Marc according to the indication given.Click here.
      c) "L'inconnu": Listen to this song and tick the write answers
